Privacy policy
This is a translation for convenience. In case of any discrepancy, the German version Datenschutzerklärung shall prevail.
Access to our website is protected by transport encryption (SSL/TLS). We attach great importance to the protection of your personal data. This privacy policy explains how we process personal data when you visit our website, use the map function and contact us.
1. Controller
The controller responsible for the processing of personal data in connection with this website is:
ERNST&ERNST Immobilien AG
Zinggentorstrasse 7
CH-6006 Luzern
Telephone: +41 41 410 28 71
Email:

2. Processing when you visit the website
When our website is accessed, access data are automatically processed for technical reasons. These may include, in particular, the IP address, the date and time of access, the URL requested, the previously visited website, the browser type and version, the operating system, and status and error data.
These data are processed in order to provide the website, to ensure its stable and secure operation, and to detect and prevent technical faults and misuse. These data are not combined with other data sources, nor are they evaluated for advertising or profiling purposes.
3. Cookies, tracking and external map content
Our website does not use analytics or marketing cookies and does not use web tracking. User behaviour is not analysed for advertising or marketing purposes. The fonts used on the website are served locally from our own server. There is no newsletter subscription.
No cookies are set for visitors to our website. The only exception is the administration area protected by a password and closed to the public, in which a technically necessary session cookie is used for logging in.
OpenStreetMap
On our website you can load a map from OpenStreetMap. The map is not embedded automatically. Only when you click the «Load map» button does your browser retrieve map data directly from OpenStreetMap (vector.openstreetmap.org).
The map is then rendered in your browser. The software required for this (MapLibre GL JS), the style definitions and the map fonts are hosted on our own server. The only external server involved is therefore the OpenStreetMap server that supplies the map data. Symbols for shops, public transport stops or similar places are not displayed.
When the map data are retrieved, in particular your IP address, information about your browser and device, the operating system used, and the date, time and content of the request may be transmitted to the OpenStreetMap Foundation. The map data may be delivered via an international network of cache and content delivery servers. At most our domain, not the specific page visited, is transmitted as the referrer. Your consent is not stored. Each time a page is loaded anew, you must click «Load map» again.
The provider is the OpenStreetMap Foundation, St John’s Innovation Centre, Cowley Road, Cambridge CB4 0WS, United Kingdom. The OpenStreetMap Foundation processes the data arising from the retrieval of the map as an independent controller under data protection law.
Further information can be found in the privacy policy of the OpenStreetMap Foundation.
External links
Our website may contain links to websites of other providers. If you open such a link, you leave our website. The operator of the external website concerned is, as a rule, responsible for any subsequent processing of personal data.
In the contact section and below the loaded map, we offer a link to Google Maps. This is exclusively a link. No Google content is embedded in our website. A connection to Google is only established if you click the link yourself.
4. Contact form and contacting us
Contact form
A contact form is available for enquiries. If you use the contact form, we process the information you enter. This includes your form of address, your first name and surname, your email address, a telephone number provided on a voluntary basis, and the content of your message.
On submission, the information is transmitted to our server encrypted by SSL/TLS and is used to deliver your message to us and to deal with your enquiry. The processing is carried out for the purpose of taking measures prior to a contract, performing an existing contractual relationship or on the basis of our legitimate interest in dealing with your enquiry.
In connection with the technical transmission and delivery, our hosting and email service providers may obtain access to the necessary data. The data are not sold and are not used for advertising or profiling.
The form entries are not stored permanently in a separate website database. This is without prejudice to technically required server logs, the abuse limitation described below, and the storage of the delivered message in our email system.
To protect the contact form against automated misuse and spam, we use a hidden input field and a technical plausibility check of the time taken to complete the form. In addition, we limit the number of submissions: for this purpose, after a message has been sent successfully, we store a cryptographic check value (hash) of your IP address together with the time of sending in a file on our server. The IP address itself is not stored in plain text. However, it cannot be entirely ruled out that the data relate to an identifiable person. This information serves exclusively to detect and reject an excessive number of submissions within ten minutes. It is not linked to the content of your message and is not evaluated. Once the time window has expired, it is deleted at the latest upon the next submission. No analytics or marketing profiles are created.
Contact by email or telephone
If you contact us by email or telephone, we process your contact details, the content of your enquiry and the associated communication data in order to deal with and respond to your request.
We retain such data for as long as is necessary to deal with and document your enquiry. Where the communication is relevant to a contractual relationship or statutory retention obligations apply, the data may be retained for a longer period.
5. Rights of data subjects
Within the scope of applicable Swiss data protection law, you have in particular the right to request information about the processing of your personal data, to have inaccurate personal data corrected and, subject to the statutory requirements, to request the erasure or destruction of your personal data. You may also request that a particular processing be restricted or refrained from.
Where the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) of the European Union applies, you may in addition be entitled, in particular, to the rights to restriction of processing, to data portability and to object. You may withdraw any consent given at any time with effect for the future. You may also lodge a complaint with a competent data protection supervisory authority.
To exercise your rights, you may contact us using the contact details given in section 1. Statutory restrictions and retention obligations remain reserved.
6. Hosting and data security
Our website is hosted by Hostpoint AG, Neue Jonastrasse 60, 8640 Rapperswil-Jona, Switzerland. Hostpoint processes the data required for the operation of the website as a hosting service provider on our behalf.
The web hosting data are, as a rule, stored on server infrastructure in Switzerland. In operating the website, Hostpoint creates technically required access and error logs. These may contain, in particular, IP addresses, timestamps, content accessed, browser information, referring pages, and technical status and error information.
The log data serve to provide and monitor the web hosting, to analyse errors, to ensure security and to detect and prevent misuse. They are retained only for as long as is necessary for these purposes or as required by law.
We and our hosting service providers take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against loss, misuse, unauthorised access, unauthorised disclosure and alteration. However, complete protection against all risks cannot be guaranteed when data are transmitted over the internet.
7. Changes to this privacy policy
We may amend this privacy policy if our data processing activities, the services used or the legal requirements change. The current version published on this website applies in each case.
